The jazz-pop project Zoöphyte (pronounced "zoo-oh-fite") released their second album Galapagos on 1st September, 2023, on the Howlin’ Werewolf label. Featuring the cream of London jazz musicians, Zoöphyte showcases the songwriting of Peter Jones and Trevor Lever.
Their next gig is at The Spin, Oxford, on 10th April 2024, with Paul Jordanous (trumpet), Vasilis Xenopoulos (sax/flute), Benjamin Croft (keys), Misha Mullov-Abbado (bass) and Sophie Alloway (drums).
The recording band features Graeme Flowers (trumpet), Vasilis Xenopoulos (tenor saxophone/flute), Tim Smart (trombone), Rob Luft (guitar), Ross Stanley (Hammond organ/Fender Rhodes/piano), Dave Jones (bass), Sophie Alloway (drums), Will Fry (percussion), Peter Jones (vocals) and Clara Bing (bv's).
